His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the Union - Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, F​ounder of Al Qasimia University - may God protect and preserve him - issued his royal decision to establish the College of the Noble Qur’an at Al Qasimia University in the year: 1438 AH, 2017 AD. The College of the Holy Qur’an at Al-Qasimia University was established to be like a “lighthouse” of science and culture that aims at elevating/advancing arts, literature and science in all societies.
 
This college is a unique pearl, as it is the first college of its kind in the United Arab Emirates. and it takes full care of the Holy Qur’an, its sciences, qiraat, exegesis, and current studies about it to understand the Holy Quran and know its secrets.
 
The college adopts a comprehensive vision that aims to achieve a qualitative leap in the Quranic studies programs. It follows scientific methodology by a group of specialists known for their competence and experience. The college attracts students from all nationalities of the world, which creates a wonderful “painting” that reflects the cultural diversity within the university campus.
 
The college offers a Bachelor of Science in the Holy Qur’an program, which aims to provide students with the basic scientific bases in exegesis, the sciences of the Qur’an, and the science of qiraat. The program also aims to prepare students for research in these areas.
 
The college seeks to achieve its mission and vision through teaching, learning, scientific research and community service. This is done through curricular activities inside the classroom and complemented by other extra-curricular activities such as scientific courses, seminars, public lectures, specialized competitions and visits.
