Programs

A: Arabic for Non-Native Speakers

This has two programs:

First: Language Preparation Program for enrolling at the University colleges.

Based on this program, the Language Center offers a set of five programs in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, all of which follow this program. These programs are as follows:

1. Arabic for Communicative Purposes

This enables students to communicate with native speakers of Arabic to achieve their daily needs and understand the Islamic Arabic culture.

2. Arabic for Specific Purposes

This program comprises four specialized programs:

- Arabic for Religious Purposes
This program is specified for students of College of Sharia and College of Holy Quran.

- Arabic for Literary Purposes
This program is designed for students of College of Arts.

- Arabic for Economic Purposes
This program is specified for students of College of Economics and Management.

- Arabic for Media Purposes
This program is designed for students of College of Communication.


Second: Enrichment Program

This program is designated for students who have enrolled the colleges or Language Center but still have some weakness in the Arabic Language.

The above mentioned programs provide students with many capabilities with the purpose of enhancing their level of Arabic and improving their skills, especially those who finish their study at the Language Center and enroll the following colleges of the University:

* College of Sharia and Islamic Studies​
* College of Arts and Humanities
* College of Economics
* College of Communication 


This program aims at achieving the following goals:
  1. Enhancing the communicative capabilities of learners
  2. Developing the learners' capabilities of reading and understanding  the books of the Arabic heritage
  3. Providing learners with the skills required to successfully continue their study at Al Qasimia University



B – Teaching English as a Foreign Language

This program is divided into two sub-programs:

1.  University Requirement Program
All students have to study the mandatory courses included in this program to empower them in English for specific purposes.

2.  ​Remedial Program
This program is specified for students, who show some weakness in the English language, as a kind of enrichment.​
